| UFC Sold for $4 Billion. Headquarters will remain in Las Vegas |
| The $4 billion sale of UFC stands to be the most expensive transaction for an organization in sports history. The Fertitta brothers bought the organization in 2000 for $2 million. In its 23-year history, UFC has become a global sport, generating an estimated $600 million in revenue last year. The organization has attracted a growing audience of millennials, advertisers,TV networks and fights shown in more than 156 countries. The new owners intended to keep the UFC Headquarters in Las Vegas. The new 184,000 sq. ft. state of the art facility broke ground in Dec 2015. The 24 acres campus will house 400+ corporate employees and the most modern training, rehab, workout and education facilities in a 40,000 sq. ft athletic center for the organization's 575 fighters. | NFL Raiders scouting for vacant land in Las Vegas |
| There's certainly no shortage of available vacant land in Las Vegas. That's why when it comes to looking for a suitable location to build a 65,000 seat stadium, the Raiders not only have 2 but at least 5 sites to choose from. Backers of the stadium told the Southern Nevada Tourism Infrastructure Committee that the primary spots under consideration are the Bali Hai golf course south of Mandalay Bay, about 63 acres off Russell Road and Interstate 15, some 100 acres controlled by Station Casinos off Tropicana Avenue and I-15 and two UNLV options. Raiders owner Mark Davis previously promised the committee $500 million toward the stadium’s cost and made it clear that he wants to relocate his team if a deal is finalized. Source: Las Vegas Sun |
