| Raiders moving to Las Vegas |
| It’s official, the National Football League owners agreed to let the Raiders move from Oakland to Las Vegas. Now that the team has been approved for relocation by NFL owners, things turn to the Stadium Authority Board approving a lease agreement with the stadium events company.
The proposed $1.9 billion stadium is estimated to be completed by 2020. The team’s plan is to fill the facility with outside events to generate year-round revenue. Not only will the Raiders get a brand new state of the art stadium, there’s great news for NFL Players too. There’s no income tax in Nevada. Players will be able to keep $130,000 more money for every million that they make. This is a great factor in the Raiders’ favor when players are contemplating signing with the team.
With two professional sports teams, NHL and NFL coming to Las Vegas, we are confident that the Las Vegas local economy is going to continue its healthy growth for many years to come. |
